Is working in the US the secret to employee happiness?
Not necessarily but a recent employee happiness survey by recruitment firm Robert Half in collaboration with wellness expert Nick Marks explored the relative happiness levels of employees in different countries and found that workers in the US were the happiest. The UK ranked below average when it came to happiness and above average when it came to stress levels (which might not surprise many of us). Perhaps more interestingly, the main reason for employee happiness was found to vary by country, in the UK pride in one’s organisation and fair treatment were considered the most important, whereas in France and Germany being treated with respect was ranked most highly.
